Your Tasks

Fixed Term 6 month contract


As Accounts Payable Clerk, you will provide efficient, effective and accurate Accounts Payable administration to ensure invoices are paid within agreed terms.


  • Ensure all invoices received from vendor / customers are scanned in a timely manner.
  • Monitor status of accounts payable items in order to ensure invoices are approved on time and therefore paid within the specified due date.
  • Actively engage with colleagues from other departments when there is a delay in approval of invoices.
  • Creation of procedure documentation for all accounts on key day to day tasks.
  • Review of vendor accounts that automatically post to a specific GL and CC to see if more can be added.
  • Workflow items will be processed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Be main point of contact for all expense related queries.
  • Ensuring expense claims are processed in a timely manner perform sufficient checks of receipts.
  • Process and monitor status of overdue statements.
  • Obtaining the required reporting to facilitate the reporting on gifts, entertaining and hospitality for payroll taxes, VAT and corporation tax.
  • Resolve issues with older items on the AP ledger in order to reduce the number of items >90 days on the accounting scorecard.
  • Work with the Customer Accounting Assistants to help resolve the items on the AP ledger that relate to deducting customers.

Your Profile

  • Experience in Accounts Payable operations
  • SAP experience desirable but not required
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communicator
  • Collaborative team player
  • Prioritisation to ensure all key deadlines are met

From £24,000.00 per year

Experience:
