About the Employer
Personal care for a lady and shopping assistance once a week. To assist with the school run for two children with a fun and outgoing family.

  • Functioning neurological disorder, that makes the service user lose the use of her left leg so she is in a wheel chair, this leads to brain fog, some cognitive issues and loss of strength in her hands. Two of the children in the property have autism

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
  • Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
  • Support and/or prompt the individual to take medication.
  • Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
  • Support with food shopping.
  • Support to get to and from school/work/college/social activities.
  • Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.


Transport Requirement
Car driver preferred but not essential.


Required Skills:

  • Previous experience in childcare/special needs is essential.
  • Be able to work flexibly, adapting to the employers needs on a daily basis.
  • Be selfmotivated with a willingness to get involved.
  • Have a lively personality.

Required Training
Moving and Handling. PA must already hold relevant qualification.
First Aid. PA must already hold relevant qualification.
Catheter Care. PA must already hold relevant qualification. It is a nephrostomies catheter that the PA would need to have training already in place for.


When you are Required

Specific days/times required:


  • Monday, 45 mins am personal care, 45 mins school run (7: mins at lunch (between and 45 mins afternoon term time (2:50 3:35) 45 mins am (7:30 8:15) and 30 mins at lunch school holidays. Two hours shopping support each week time and day is flexible
  • Tuesday, 45 mins am personal care, 45 mins school run (7: mins at lunch (between and 45 mins afternoon term time (2:50 3:35) 45 mins am (7:30 8:15) and 30 mins at lunch school holidays
  • Wednesday, 45 mins am personal care, 45 mins school run (7: mins at lunch (between and 45 mins afternoon term time (2:50 3:35) 45 mins am (7:30 8:15) and 30 mins at lunch school holidays
  • Thursday, 45 mins am personal care, 45 mins school run (7: mins at lunch (between and 45 mins afternoon term time (2:50 3:35) 45 mins am (7:30 8:15) and 30 mins at lunch school holidays
  • Friday, 45 mins am personal care, 45 mins school run (7: mins at lunch (between and 45 mins afternoon term time (2:50 3:35) 45 mins am (7:30 8:15) and 30 mins at lunch school holidays
