College of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine - Deanery of Clinical Sciences - Centre for Cardiovascular Science (CVS)

Full time; 35 hours per week

Open Ended

The Opportunity:

The Finance Officer role will provide high quality additional support to the Centre Manager, Administrative team and CVS staff/students.

Focus for the post will be on post-award research grant management but the post holder will also spend part of their time on PURE administration, as well as being expected to take on professorial support duties and other responsibilities within the admin team as required.

  • Experience of providing analysis and strategic advice to senior managers.
  • Experience of budget management/monitoring of complex projects.
  • Proven highquality communication and relationshipbuilding skills, with evidence of the ability to persuade and negotiate.
  • A commitment to accuracy and high attention to detail (particularly in maintaining financialrelated data).
  • Ability to quickly master new systems and processes and to sustain a high and consistent level of performance whilst under pressure
