About The Business


Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd (PCL) is investing £12.5 million in constructing a liquid milk bottling centre in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire which will be operational and producing by the end of Spring 2024.

The centre is a 3,000 square meter facility that has the capacity to bottle a million litres of milk per week and will supply major supermarkets across the whole of Wales with Welsh milk.

It will be the only BRC Standard facility to offer Welsh Milk which is also bottled in Wales. This will reduce food miles, increase supply chain efficiency, and support local farming and communities.


The Role
We are looking for a Maintenance Planning Co-ordinator to come and join the Pembrokeshire Creamery Ltd (PCL) team where you will be based at our state-of
- the art bottling factory in Haverfordwest working as part of a close team all striving towards the same ambition.


As a Maintenance Planning Co-ordinator you will be working as part of an efficient Engineering Team, ensuring continuous development, improvement and maintenance of the planned and preventative maintenance systems and all systems related to a computerised maintenance management system.


You will be responsible for ensuring contractor compliance in line with Health & Safety and all other relevant legislation as well as ensuring constant availability of critical parts and accurate stock holding for timely supply of parts and financial understanding.

You'll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with the team to deliver great results. You'll have an enthusiastic approach and be a team player with the ability to follow instructions.


You'll Be Responsible For

  • Developing, implementing and managing an effective and efficient CMMS system.
  • Communicating effectively with the Engineering Team to allocate work tasks, PM and PI's to individuals, shift teams and monitoring feedback including completion of tasks.
  • Responsible for highlighting incomplete tasks to team members and escalating issues where necessary.
  • Responsible for the management of the site asset register ensuring it is kept up to date at all times, and that all new equipment is compliant with current BRC requirements.
  • Responsible for ensuring contractor control with regards to RAM's, issuing Permit To Works and insurance documentation. Maintaining an accurate and audit ready contractors register and associated files.
  • Responsible for ensuring the stock system is fully integrated with the CMMS
  • Oversee, document and manage the 'quarantine' procedures for parts replacements to aid with root cause analysis.
  • Responsible for the purchase of parts and organising contract labour as required. Ensuring department spend is tracked, reported and monitored and invoices are issued for payment in a timely manner. Raise any supplier account issues to Head of Engineering immediately.
  • Provide reports as requested by the Engineering Managers to include KPI's, Stock Audit Reports and Metre Readings.
  • Develop Engineering SOP's, Risk Assessments and method statements and routine engineering checklists as and when required.
  • Attend daily operational and cross functional meetings to understand engineering issues and ensure all issues are address with equipment operating as expected.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or bottling environment is preferred
  • Experience, or preferably qualifications associated with COSHH, Food Safety, Manual Handling and Health & Safety
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to processes and improvement
  • Relevant Technical, Engineering, City & Guilds (HND/NVQ) qualification
  • Forklift truck licence, IOSHH or NEBOSH Qualifications desirable
  • Knowledge of safety regulations in a manufacturing setting building a proactive Health & Safety culture and demonstrate best practice at all times
