We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in Medical Statistics.

This is a post for a medical statistician with an interest in systematic reviews and network meta-analysis to support the work of the Liverpool Reviews and Implementation Group (LRiG).

The appointment will be based within the Department of Health Data Science, Institute of Population Health, Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.


You will have a Master¿s degree in Statistics or a related field, an ability to manage quantitative data as well as advanced computing skills.

Proven experience in the development and critical appraisal of indirect treatment comparisons and network meta-analysis is required and you will be able to use statistical software packages.


You will have a continuing record of excellence which has contributed to the advancement of knowledge in medical statistics, some evidence of attracting external research funding in medical statistics as well as evidence of academic leadership.

You will be highly able, enthusiastic and capable of inspiring those around you. Collaborative, multi-disciplinary working is essential, within the Institute, across the wider university and beyond.

The post is available for 18 months in the first instance.

This is a campus-based post. The university allows flexible working, in agreement with line managers and HoDs/Deans.
