Production Operative - Burton-On-Trent, United Kingdom - The Best Connection Employment Group
Description
We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to work across a well known manufacturing operation in Burton-on-Trent.Shifts available:
- Monday
- Thursday 6am4pm and Friday 6am2pm
- 12hr shifts (6am6pm & 6pm6am)
Key duties:
- Adherence to Company Health & Safety working practices and legislative regulations.
- Working to high quality standards and within set tolerances.
- Quality inspection of product and final packaging appearance.
- Set up and operation machinery to different specifications.
- Take an active role in contributing to minimising wastage and production costs.
- Contribute to the consistent delivery of production targets and budgeted operational performance
- Contribute to line changeovers.
- Liaise with Assistant Works Manager, Production Supervisors and Maintenance Team for the reporting and repairing of machinery
- Follow the Company process for reporting hazards, near misses etc.
- Maintain exceptionally high standard of housekeeping.
- Flexibility to maintain cover during periods of annual leave and sickness absence as and when required.
- Understand and adhere to Company policies and procedures which are relevant to both the site and the working environment.
- Any other duties as deemed reasonable by your line manager.
Key skills:
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety working practices and regulations
- Understand and work to set Quality standards
- Previous Experience within a fastpaced manufacturing environment
- Machine operating experience
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Agility and flexibility Resilient Proactive and selfmotivated
- Active team player, willingness to take on extra responsibilities or help other team members as required
- Effective time management & organisational skills
- Ability to maintain and adhere to set standards
- Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations
- Flexibility around working hours (nights and weekends)
