Search Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Payroll Officer to join a large organisation based in Birmingham on a permanent contract.
You will join a robust and tenured team that is going through a very busy period.The Role and Your Profile
My client runs a very busy payroll department that has several thousand people on the payroll therefore you must be able to demonstrate the following in the interview.
- Manual calculations gross to net
- Experience in weekly and monthly payroll
- Dealing with complex and queries
- Reconciliations
- Assisting with employee queries regarding tax and deductions
- Good experience of handling several workload commitments all at once
- Good understanding of UK tax law, can calculate maternity pay, statutory sick pay, holiday pay and also NI manually.
My client will ask you to talk through calculations in the interview and look for someone who is experienced to be able to work on their own initiative.
