We are recruiting for a BCSP Specialist Screening Practitioner who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.


The Bowel Cancer Screening Programme at East & North Herts NHS Trust is rolling out screening to include all those aged 50 to 60 by 2024 as an extension to our current programme which currently screens people aged As a result, we are looking to recruit an additional Full Time Band 6 Nurse to join our team.

You need to be a flexible, well motivated, individual who will help provide high standards of evidence based care within this national programme.

Core hours would be 08:00am - 18:00 over three Hospital sites so travel between all sites will be necessary.

The post holder will participate as a member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team in providing high standards of evidence based care in delivering the National Bowel Cancer Screening programme within East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

To work collaboratively with the screening hub.

Provide specialist advice, support and continuity of patient care throughout the patient pathway from admission to discharge. You will provide and lead excellent Nurse led clinic to patients and their family/carers.

Co-ordinate and ensure the efficient organisation of the screening service working within BCSP National and Trust guidelines and protocols.

To provide support and guidance on a day-to-day basis to the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Manager and Administrators.
