Description

As the first point of contact during the night, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our residents.

This multifaceted role involves a combination of security, customer service, and emergency response duties.

What will the Night Porter be doing?

Working as part of the team to maintain a waking, watchful presence overnight including monitoring CCTV, regular checks of the building and grounds and recording any incidents, damage, or defects
To contribute to the management and supervision of Residents in the Village, always ensuring the welfare and safety of residents and staff
To ensure all arising situations are dealt with safely and efficiently, providing a safe and secure environment and maintaining expected standards of the Village
Have an exceptional understanding of the village emergency procedures for any health and safety, fire or care related emergencies
Be fully confident in the Village fire safety policy to be able to carry out a full evacuation if required.
To be aware of the Health and Safety at Work Act and to ensure that the standards are maintained and to work to promote a safe and secure environment for residents.
Report immediately to the Deputy Manager or General Manager any illness of an infectious nature or accident incurred by resident, colleague, self, or another person.
Understand and ensure the implementation of Village's Health and Safety policy and Emergency and Fire procedures.

The successful Night Porter will have:

Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required.
Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Satisfactory enhanced DBS checks required
