About the role
As a Professional Service Network Consultant at Ekco IT Services within the Professional Services division, you will be a key player in delivering expert technical architecture guidance across all facets of IT networking.
This role emphasizes client engagement, requiring you to interact closely with clients to understand their unique requirements and translate them into detailed statements of work.
Your in-depth knowledge of networking brands such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Dell will be crucial in crafting and implementing robust solutions tailored to our clients' needs.
Job Duties / Requirements of Role
As a Network Consultant at Ekco you will:
- Engage proactively with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and networking requirements.
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and propose tailored networking solutions.
- Collaborate closely with clients to develop a clear understanding of their expectations and desired outcomes.
- Translate client requirements into detailed and comprehensive Statements of Work (SOW).
- Clearly outline project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and associated costs for client approval.
- Work closely with the sales and project management teams to ensure alignment with client expectations and Ekco's capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing IT networking solutions.
- Leverage indepth knowledge of networking brands such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Dell to create robust and scalable architectures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of networking solutions with existing infrastructure.
- Play a handson role in the implementation of networking solutions, ensuring alignment with approved statements of work.
- Work closely with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues during implementation.
- Conduct postimplementation reviews to validate the success of the proposed solutions.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions for clients and internal teams, ensuring a smooth transition and effective ongoing support.
About You
You will have:
- Proven experience (5 years) in a similar role within the IT services industry.
- Indepth knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and best practices.
- Expertise in networking brands, including Cisco, Fortinet, and Dell.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in producing detailed Statements of Work for client signoff.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE) are highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong team player with a cando attitude to inspire excellent customer service.
- To remain calm under pressure, be empathetic and confident dealing with escalations.
- Understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Principles.
