Metalis Recruitment are working alongside a prestigous stainless steel manufacturing company who due to expansion are lookign for a Design Engineer to join their growing and friendly team in Draycott.


The Design Engineer will work on a variety of bespoke customer orders that will be designed using Solidworks and will have the opportunity to undertake research and development projects.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Designing bespoke stainless steel fabrications based on customer briefs
  • Creation and maintenance of Solid works 3D CAD models
  • Drawing technical assembly drawings, build manuals
  • Value engineering and reengineering of products
  • Research and development of new products to add to our range
  • Working heavily with sheet metal and stainless steel
  • Liaise both internally and with customers externally to achieve bespoke solutions

Shifts & Salary:


  • Days, Monday
  • Friday
- £25,000 - £29,000 (dependent on experience)

  • 12 Week Temporary Permanent role
  • Have experience in sheet metal fabrications
  • Have a good knowledge of 3D CAD package Solidworks
  • General knowledge of stainless steel, and manufacturing techniques
  • Practical problem solving mind set
  • Ability to work in a fast paced design environment
