Pencombe Under Fives are looking for a Pre-school assistant for at least 25 hours per week. We are a small playgroup set in the lovely village of Pencombe, in the grounds of Pencombe Primary School.

We have a passion for the outdoors and try to spend as much time as possible with the children, enjoying and creating, in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside.

We are a small very friendly team who work so well together and all have the same love for enriching young children's lives.

We would like the applicant to have two years' experience of working in an Early Years setting preferred

Your skills and abilities

• Early years Educator level 3 or NNEB, CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Knowledge of OFSTED standards
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
• Good time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong people management skills
• Knowledge and understand of equal opportunities / SENCO etc.
• Previous relevant supervisory experience.

Responsibilities to include:
Health and safety, child protection and safeguarding. SEND

Develop excellent communications with parents/carers, encouraging them to participate in their child's learning and development.

To ensure all policies and procedures are updated and adhered to at all times
