Deputy SENCo and Nurture Teacher - Epsom - Rosebery School
Description
Overview
Are you looking to join a highperforming supportive school where your work can make a genuine difference to students with SEND
We are seeking a Deputy SENCo to lead our dedicated and collaborative SEND. This key managerial role will oversee the day-to-day operation of SEND provision across the school, shaping the experience of both students and colleagues and driving high-quality inclusive practice throughout the school. Your leadership will ensure a meaningful and lasting impact on our students and the staff who support them.
Your opportunity
As the operational lead of Rosebery Connect (SEND team) our Deputy SENCo will lead and coordinate the SEN provision, champion inclusive practice, monitor student progress and work with all stakeholders involved in ensuring students are supported to reach their full educational potential. The post holder will also act as the lead Nurture Teacher, working closely with specified individuals ensuring our most vulnerable students effectively transition between the primary and secondary phases.
The successful candidate will manage a team of five Teaching Assistants and be actively involved in ensuring all members of staff recognise and fulfil their statutory responsibilities to students with special educational needs. They will also disseminate good practice in meeting individual special educational needs across the school and provide accessible learning experiences for students with special educational needs and disabilities.
