ALP Schools are a growing chain of small independent schools catering for young people with special educational needs.

The Lodge is our new outdoor provision, giving learners the chance to flourish in nature, with woodland, animal care and swimming facilities on site.

Our school's vision is to empower success through holistic and individualised learning.

To achieve this we work with learners from primary to post-16 and ensure that their needs are met and that each individual is provided a wide range of learning opportunities.

We care for the well-being of our learners and our staff team. As such, all employees are provided with a BUPA Cash Plan scheme, annual well-being initiatives and termly perks.

We also provide annual appraisals for all staff and actively encourage a range of CPD to help progress and create career opportunities.

We are excited to have vacancies for people to join our team. Currently we are looking for an Outdoor Animal Tutor. The post holder will care for the resident animals onsite along with providing lessons based on animal care. They must have a passion for animals and be willing to deliver a range of animal care activities.

We are looking for those who already can offer such activity, or those who are willing to be trained to do so.

To have knowledge and experience in one or more of the following: nature, animal care, outdoor construction, team building activities, forest school activities, PSHE in the outdoors, outdoor pursuits, gardening, outdoor cooking, etc

To lead on the schools drive to meet the Healthy Schools standard, ensuring our pupils all engage in a variety of physical, animal based activity and outdoor learning opportunities as part of their curriculum, including special events and as part of the schools enrichment calendar.

To be willing to learn and implement The Outdoor Teacher Approach - Establish successful approaches and methods to teaching and learning in the outdoors
