We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Homeware Surface Pattern Designer to join our sensational Design team at our Support Centre here in Speke, Liverpool, L24.

This is a full time, permanent position and is fully office based.

This role will suit a creative designer with homeware experience overflowing with ideas and keen to work in a growing FTSE 100 North-West based retail business (with over 700 stores and growing).

A huge opportunity to get involved in a wide range of different projects as our B&M Surface design team covers an incredibly diverse spectrum of product, from têxtiles to hard decorative products, gifting, paper and garden.

The role will involve:

Working on hundreds of ranges, with a variety of styles covering têxtile, homeware, gifts and craft.
Creating pattern designs and presenting new ideas
Supporting the Senior Designer to translate new ideas into real product design
Liaising and building relationships with our Buying team
Remaining up to date, anticipating future homeware market trends and designs
Ensuring projects are completed on time, working at pace and within a team

Essential requirements are:

BA (Hons) degree in Textiles/Design or illustration
12 years' experience working as a designer in a
homeware capacity
Credible knowledge of CAD programs: Adobe illustrator & Photoshop
Ability to work at pace and manage multiple projects concurrently
Highly diverse and creative portfolio with multiple styles
Commercial awareness
Able to communicate at all levels and present ideas
Passionate about design
Someone who is collaborative, happy to be working side by side in the office with the team
A positive and can do attitude and someone who will be proud to see product instore
