JOB SCOPE

Develop reliable connectivity with numerous bank systems in an agile delivery method
Do whatever it takes to maintain stability, availability and performance
Provide Production L3 support as required
Partner with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions deep understanding of the problem and context along with ownership are key to be successful in this role

Core Qualifications:

Strong experience designing, developing mission critical systems in java as the primary language
Indepth core Java knowledge
Proven experience in realtime, scalable systems, garbage collector, queuing, scheduling, complex events processing (CEP)
Understanding of Financial Markets processes around pricing, booking, golden sources of data etc.
Technical knowledge in a noSQL / doc / columnar DB such as mongoDB, kdb, shell scripts in Linux/Unix environment and or windowsbased environments
Understanding of what is required to deliver safe and fast electronic trading
Experience in all or some of these: hazelcast, zookeeper, google guice, solace, gprc.
Understanding and demonstrable experience of modern architecture/designs microservices/APIfirst development/highthroughput/eventdriven/agentbased system, compositional frameworks
Knowledge and practical experience in modern devops
CI/CD Build and Static Analysis tools
Some experience of writing zero garbage code, or the concepts involved

Delivery:

Ability to think "Product/platform" with a strong alignment with expected business outcomes/journeys
Understanding of software development lifecycle
Experienced in Agile/Scrum-Kanban and related tools
JIRA, Confluence
Knowledge of bonds electronic markets is a strong plus

Other desirable skills/knowledge:

Some very basic knowledge of UI concepts javascript/html5/openfin/react
Experience of connecting to external trading platforms

Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
Outstanding problemsolving skills
Proactive, selfstarter, autonomous Selfmotivated, multitasking, with strong analytical and problemsolving skills, solution oriented with proven results
Good team spirit
Extreme curiousness
This is a very demanding role which requires a startup/entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work fast, efficiently, under pressure on multiple deliveries
