Description

This is predominantly a 'hands - on' field engineering role, involving working indoors and outdoors and at heights, but will also involve customer interaction on occasion, so good communication skills are key.

Working alongside a Senior Engineer and the regional planner your duties will include:
Building communication cabinets, prepping routers and radio equipment.

Engaging in field work from supporting the build of new networks, repairs and maintenance of existing sites.

Providing support for client installations and repairs, where necessary.

Providing exemplary customer care in the field and updating with any changes or delays.

The work will include some working at heights, such as climbing up trees and buildings in order to attach Wifi transmitters / receivers.

To provide daily stock control and report to the office.

Required Skills / Experience

Experience Telecoms or Network Engineering - cabling / Wifi technology (WAN, WIFI and Router configurations)

The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Hold a UK driving licence - Company car provided

Working knowledge of networking including WAN and LAN

Some understanding of IT and networking

Hands on technical abilities

Excellent problem-solving skills.

The ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.

An ability to multi-task and a good team player

Excellent time keeping and time management skills.

Friendly and personable.

The ability to learn quickly take on extra responsibilities

Must be physically able, due to nature of field based work

Package:

Starting salary of £25,000 27,000, pa depending on experience / qualifications and salary reviewed regularly in line with training progress

Standard working hours are 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday with 1 hour for lunch
