Some key information

  • Role includes hybrid working locations including home with regular periods at the Quantock Office, Fyne Court, Broomfield.
  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata for fixed term/part time contracts)
  • Fixed term contract until 31st March 2025.

What will I be doing?

You will lead the administration of the Teams landscape projects, particularly the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) Programme and Greater Quantock Landscape Development Fund (GQLDF).

This includes providing financial support such as monitoring budgets, processing claims and reports for Defra and other funders, using Somerset Councils financial systems.

You will also provide administrative support such as setting up meetings and prepare papers and minutes for the Local Assessment Panel.


You will also produce promotional materials such as press releases and post on social media, which is a key engagement tool and provide assistance with event organisation.


  • Producing promotional material to engage farmers
  • Assist with organisation of events
  • Supporting the Local Assessment Panel by taking notes and organising meetings.

What kind of experience or qualifications do I need?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be.

But it will really help if you have:

  • Experience of administrative processes, including organising meetings and events, financial processes and the use of social media for publicity.
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge and use of financial software packages, especially D365

Anything else I should know?
The salary range for this role is £14,335 to £15,587 per annum for 22.2 hour per week.
