Description

Test Development Engineer / Optoelectronics / Photonics - Excellent opportunity with a leading developer of the optical fibre technology, looking for a Test Development Engineer to join the team.

You will be

  • Designing, developing and implementing test stations for modular and full system testing of distributed fibre sensing products
  • Creating and maintaining test procedures and documentation to support product releases
  • Performing product testing, troubleshooting and performance verification
  • Liaising with design team to support service and repair
  • Ensuring continuous improvement and maintenance of production test stations


This is a hands-on position and you will be responsible for leading and implementing product testing on advanced optical sensing instruments in a high tech environment.


  • Good background in photonics/optoelectronics (fibre optics, optical detectors, semiconductor lasers, optical amplifiers)
  • Experience in product testing in manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • Experience in using electrical and optical test instruments
  • Experience in LabView coding and test development would be advantageous
  • Good interpersonal & organisational skills. Test Development Engineer / Optoelectronics / Photonics
