This includes design, compliance, incident investigation, vehicle refurbishment and life extension.

In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of rolling stock maintenance projects to clients or internal project teams.


We are looking for you if you can:
Deliver a range of projects which could include some, but not all, of the following:

  • Maintenance strategies, including supporting on fleet introduction.
  • Maintenance optimization, harmonization and extensions on a variety of rolling stock.
  • Depot operations and optimization.
  • Asset / vehicle condition inspections to support maintenance updates and fleet handover / handback.
  • Understand client requirements and aspirations to identify, agree and deliver scopes of work.
  • Share experience in depot operations and maintenance practices to help solve client's problems.

Example work activities
The role does not require applicants with experience in these areas.

They are provided as examples of what you could be doing with us:


  • Working on maintenance strategies; maintenance optimisation and extensions of various fleets.
  • Depot operations and depot capacity modelling.
  • Asset / vehicle condition inspections.
  • Undertake Project Manager roles for projects managed by the Mechanical Systems team.
  • Identify technical, commercial and safety risks associated with projects and ensure these are managed through each project phase.
