The Company

BSV are hiring for a Mechanical Estimator, on behalf of our Client a well-known and respected M&E Building Services Contractor based in Kent.

You will be based in their Orpington Office and estimating for our Client's upcoming mechanical and electrical installation Projects.

You will be estimating for projects in the Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial and Residential verticals, with project values up to £15m.

This is a great opportunity with a clear path to Senior Estimating and Estimating Manager roles within the company.

The Role

As a Mechanical Estimator for our client, some of your responsibilities will include:

Managing the tender bid process from receipt of initial enquiry to final submission.
Interpretation of specifications, drawings, design briefs and scope of works documents.
Compiling tender bids for mechanical building services projects.
Liaison with Clients, design consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Obtaining and evaluating materials, plant and subcontractor quotes.
Working with relevant project managers to compile bids for Mechanical building services projects.
Compiling documentation necessary to form tender packages in accordance with Client requirements. This includes writing technical methodologies, materials schedules, method statements, risk assessments, health and safety information, company procedural information and programmes of work.
Carrying out site surveys and attending tender review meetings with Clients.
