Our Clients based in Reading are seeking a Finance Coordinator to join their team and take ownership of all aspects of the day to day finance/ accounting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- To implement effective systems to track and manage all day to day financial aspects of the company
- To ensure the company fulfils all tax and reporting requirements in a timely manner
- To produce VAT Returns from accounting software
- To create Payroll Year end Returns including production of P11ds
- To attend and contribute to management meetings when needed
Purchase Ledger
- Entering Supplier Invoices onto the accounting system
- Reconciling the supplier ledger to supplier statements
- Chasing missing supplier invoices
- Putting supplier invoices into query where required and resolving any problems/disputes
Sales Ledger
- Entering sales invoices onto the accounting system
- Handling customer queries and liaising with the relevant departments to resolve those queries
- Credit control chasing overdue payments
Cash Control
- Entering bank payments / receipts onto accounting system
- Bank Reconciliations
Payroll
- Running a small payroll each month via payroll software
- Entering new starters and leavers
- Issuing payslips
- Running the payroll Bacs payment
Management Accounts
- Producing a set of basic accounts from accounting software
- Monthly reconciliation accounts
General Ad Hoc Duties
- Other tasks that help with the timely delivery of the monthly accounts as and when they arise
- Managing business accounts for parking and fuel etc.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in a finance/ accounts role
- Knowledge of Accounting software
- Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to work in a small team environment
- Self-Motivated
