Job Title:
Protection Advisor (Home Based)

Location:

Home based but living within 1.5 hour of our offices in either Colchester, Peterborough or Milton Keynes to attend training and meetings as and when required.



Rewards:
Basic salary of 25K + bonus and benefits, OTE 55K+


Hours:
Mon-Fri 9AM - 6PM as core hours but some flexibility maybe required.


Timeline:
Immediate Interviews, June 2023 start date.

Through our range of individual brands we specialise in facilitating the sale of new homes working with housebuilders, lenders and a nationwide network of estate agents.

We offer a broad range of Mortgage Services together with Part Exchange, and Assisted Move. We work with most of the UKs top 20 housebuilders.


As part of our 2023 expansion plans, our Protection Services team is now looking for an additional full time employed Protection Advisor to join the team.

Protection Advisor responsibilities:


  • Retain existing protection policy arrangements taken out by our customers
  • Identify and generate additional mortgage protection sales
  • Arrange suitable protection policies according to individual customer need
  • Contact customers identified by the Protection Services Case Owners as wishing to cancel part or all of their protection arrangements
  • Contact customers who have had nonstandard acceptance terms issued
  • Proactively contact our customers who have not made any mortgage protection arrangements to identify and fulfil protection needs
  • To provide the highest level of service and Protection advise to customers
  • To adhere to and comply with all internal processes and procedures at all times
  • To provide Protection within scope and in accordance with company guidelines
  • Meet the agreed sales targets, quality standards and key performance indicators
  • To ensure that all documentation used is current and relevant
  • To maintain Competency in accordance with the Company Training & Competency Scheme
  • Maintain and develop at all times product and industry (role) related knowledge
  • Strictly adhere and comply with all regulatory guidelines and obligations
  • Ad hoc duties as and when required by the Sales Manager, Director or Management Team

Required Knowledge, skills and qualifications:


  • Previous protection sales experience in a financial setting.
  • Detail conscious with experience of working in an office based environment.
  • Motivated to meet and exceed personal targets and customer service standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with outstanding telephone manner and strong listening skills.
  • Competent Microsoft Office user, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Clearly able to explain verbally and in written form the key features of our policies in benefit terms to ensure our customers understand and appreciate their value to them.
  • Adopts a flexible approach to work pressures and priorities to ensure team and individual objectives are met.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to develop relevant knowledge and applies this actively in the role.
  • Pays close attention to detail in all work activities to ensure mistakes are avoided and all standards are met.
  • Protection sales experience preferred but not essential
