Description
Providing the first point of contact to patients and other visitors to enable access to appropriate services in a professional and courteous manner.
To have a thorough knowledge and work in accordance of practice policies and procedures.Receive and make telephone calls as required. Divert calls and take messages, ensuring accuracy of detail and prompt appropriate delivery.
Liaise with local hospitals and other agencies as appropriate.
Receive telephone calls and enter onto appointment list as appropriate, ensuring accurate information is recorded to enable clinical team to deal with patient query effectively.
Give results of investigations / tests, i.e. blood, urine etc. to patients
Update patients records as required.
Deal with all general enquiries, explain procedures and make new and follow-up appointments.
To Provide support for clinicians to enable the effective day to day running of the practice.
To Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm
To undertake any other tasks allocated by managers.
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Salary:
£10.47-£10.70 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
Medical Receptionist: 1 year (preferred)
