Description

Our client, a small independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Milton Keynes area, are looking for an experienced and dedicated Head of Tax / Associate Director to join their established team.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the senior management team and to make a significant contribution to the growth and success of the firm.

The role is ideally full time however for the right person they will also consider 4 days per week.


Key responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing the tax team to deliver highquality tax services to our clients
  • Developing and maintaining client relationships, and identifying opportunities to grow our client base
  • Providing tax advice and guidance to clients on a range of issues, including personal tax, corporate tax, and VAT
  • Keeping uptodate with changes in tax legislation and ensuring our clients are compliant with relevant tax laws
  • Working closely with other teams within the firm to provide a seamless service to our clients
  • Contributing to the overall strategy and direction of the firm as part of the senior management team
  • ACA/CTA qualified or equivalent
  • At least 8 years' experience in tax compliance within a similar practice environment, with a strong technical knowledge of UK tax laws
  • Proven experience in managing a team of tax professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service
