Lusona Consultancy has an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our highly successful client in the service sector in the role of 'Management Accountant'.

Based at their HQ in Glasgow, you will report to the Lead Management Accountantto provide business partnering by assisting with preparing management accounts and financial reporting.

This role will involve in depth analysis and cost variances, as well as supporting process improvement of a new financial system implementation.


Main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with month end tasks to ensure completeness in a timely manner
  • Providing business partnering through analysis with various stakeholders across the business
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of the endtoend business that will enhance business partnering skills
  • Maintaining the balance sheet accounts
  • Assisting with weekly and monthly reporting
  • Developing the use of Power BI across the department
  • Supporting adhoc project work as and when required by senior management
Applicants will ideally have previous experience within a high-volume transaction finance environment within wider industry and commerce. Ambitious applicants who are recent Accountancy, Finance/Mathematics University Graduates will also be considered. Mostimportantly you will have strong excel skills and appropriate IT skills to support specific accounting systems within the business.

Furthermore, you will be an ambitious, self-starter, who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team, to meet often tight andconflicting deadlines involving financial and non-financial stakeholders.
