As a Lead Insights Researcher you'll be leading a team of insights researchers, to deliver insights that inform game design, user acquisition, and monetisation strategies, with a primary focus on improving player engagement and experience.

What Does The Job Actually Involve?

  • Planning and suggesting research to support product development, all the way through the product life cycle, from idea to hardlaunch and beyond.
  • Designing and implementing research methodologies and frameworks that collect, analyse, and interpret data from a variety of sources, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Communicating effectively with crossfunctional teams (including product management, marketing, UX/UI, and game design) and presenting findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Overseeing and coordinating user testing efforts, ensuring feedback is integrated effectively into game development processes.
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of the mobile gaming industry, including competitor analysis, market trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Work closely with the Insights Manager to identify key areas for research and data exploration, contributing to the overall research strategy of the organisation.
  • Helping to source, manage and direct outside research agencies.

Your Hard Skills

  • 4 years experience in Insights Research in the interactive entertainment industry (e.g. video/mobile gaming, video/entertainment platforms)
  • 1 years + experience leading a team.
  • Degree/Postgraduate in psychology, HCI, social sciences, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
  • Experience in data manipulation/visualisation and statistical software (e.g. SPSS, R/Python, Tableau or any other)
  • Experience running usability studies.
  • Experience running inperson and/or remote studies such as focus groups and interviews.
