We Do Group are delighted to be supporting a tech/manufacturing business in Abingdon, recruiting an Interim Finance Manager to cover a piece of permanent recruitment.


The role is expected to last for 3-4 months and has ownership of the reporting for the business' three trading entities.


Rate is £ per day (inside IR35)

The Role

  • Overall responsibility for the monthly management accounts for the main trading company (Ltd), the head office company (Plc) and overseas US trading subsidiary (Inc).
  • Ownership of the accounting for the three trading companies
  • Collate information for outsourced payroll provider monthly UK payrolls, twoweekly US payrolls and the Dutch payroll
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide monthly variance analysis for the P&L
  • Operate and suggest improvements and automations to the expense management processes new expenses system being implemented
  • Work with the business to define and improve reporting and reconciliation process
  • Participation and assistance in interim and year end reporting and audits
  • Preparation of quarterly Group VAT return
  • Provide backup support for other Finance team absence
  • Adhoc work at certain stages of the year:_
  • Work with Group Financial Controller and Head of Finance Business Partnering to improve product and segment level profitability reporting
  • Support for Annual Corporation Tax returns for UK and US and R&D tax claims
  • Assist Group Financial Controller with preparing budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Develop, improve and automate existing and new reporting and analysis (as required)
  • Support the implementation of new systems introduced to support the accounting, forecasting, and reporting processes

Your Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)
  • Effective communicator written & verbal
  • Sound technical and analytical skills with good attention to detail
  • Competent user of Microsoft Excel
  • Operate proactively and effectively in a closeknit team environment
  • Available on short notice
