About the company

My client, a forward-thinking media and marketing agency is looking for a new Senior Accounts Assistant to join them following an influx of new business.

They have offices in the UK and USA and deliver some major project with leading global brands across the industry.

The Finance Director who leads a team of 6 in the London office is looking for someone who is ambitious, with a great work ethic and wants to progress and sees themselves as a senior member of staff in the future.

What you will be doing
Reporting into the Accountant and Finance Manager you will be working on:

Daily management of purchase and sales ledger via Sage 50
Resolving all queries from suppliers/clients
Bank, balance sheet and supplier statement reconciliation
Support managers with new finance procedures and controls
Shadowing senior staff across management accounts activities
Submitting VAT returns to HMRC

Essential skills/experience

23 years' experience in media transactional accountancy role
Experience across sales and/or purchase ledger
Sage 50 or 200 accounting system experience
Managing multiple supplier/client accounts
High value bank reconciliation
Exposure to preparing and processing payment runs
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables and vLookups)

Desirable skills/experience

Studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA
Experience assisting qualified accountants
Experience working to tight deadlines
