Description
We are looking for a Technical Writer for our rapidly expanding Financial Services business. This fantastic opportunity is permanent and will be based in our modern offices in central Glasgow.

You will develop career-long skills within this fast-paced dynamic business environment working alongside a collaborative and driven team.

Your role will be to take charge of producing storyboards, composing clear and coherent information detailing our clients' innovative projects.

You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, where getting it right first time is a prerequisite.


Who are ZLX?
ZLX are a financial services business specialising in Research and Development (R&D) Tax Credits. Our purpose is to ensure UK companies receive funding from HMRC for scientific or technological projects they've undertaken.


Who are we looking for?


A typical day for a Technical Writer at ZLX might include conducting telephone or Zoom calls to discuss R&D projects with clients, writing and proofreading technical reports, attending internal meetings, extending cross-departmental support and carrying out various administrative tasks.


Responsibilities:


  • Conducting meetings with clients
  • Detailed minute taking
  • Writing, editing and proofreading technical reports
  • Administrative tasks such as uploading reports, amending files and updating spreadsheets

Essential:


  • Proven writing experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Enthusiastic and curious about science and/or technology
  • Confident, selfassured manner
  • IT literate, with a firm knowledge of MS Office

Desirable:


  • Experience conducting meetings with clients
  • Background in a field of science or technology
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with the R&D Tax Credit scheme
