Simon Acres Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a forward thinking established company based in Yorkshire, to find a Commercial Accountant.

Salary:
paying up to £45,000 (DOE)


Annual Leave: 32 Days incl. Bank Holidays & Christmas Shutdown


Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 8.45am-5pm, Friday 8.45am-4pm


The Role:


  • Producing timely and accurate weekly/monthly management information and commercial performance reviews across both Contracts and Retail elements of the business
  • Developing reports and analysing to drive forward the commercial understanding, business performance and help make commercial decisions on key measures such as customer type, price group, product and mix of supply
  • Controlling and managing monthly provisions for inclusion in periodic management accounts such as Rebates
  • Providing timely and accurate ad hoc reporting to Senior Management and Group Board members
  • Analysing and reporting of revenue, costs and profitability across products, brands and customers
  • Taking ownership of the Contracts Pipeline process, driving understanding and independently challenging inputs into the Pipeline process, providing accurate and concise monthly reports to the Group Board of Directors
  • Reviewing and analysing fitting costs and margins and provide understanding as required to the Commercial and Operational teams
  • Managing the demand planning process for Contracts and Retail in both long and short term plans, coordinating with Contract Managers, Commercial Sales Managers and Finance and Sales Directors
  • Reviewing and challenging the accuracy of forecasting and presenting at internal review meetings with senior management.
  • Maintaining product and pricing data including on both SAP and our online ordering portal including, but not limited to, updating pricing, implementing price increases, new product launches and delisting discontinued products.
  • Resolving pricing queries on both SAP and our online ordering portal
  • Reviewing and reporting on pricing expiry dates for Contracts in conjunction with Commercial Finance Manager and Sales Director
  • Partqualified/finalist/newly qualified CIMA/ACCA


  • Excel

  • High standard to include Data management, reporting and manipulation
  • Good understanding of maths
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • SAP experience (desirable)
