CNC Programmers/Operator for their purpose-built facility at the Blackburn site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated and capable
CNC Programmers/Operators, that wish to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding engineering firm

Responsibilities

Working within a predominantly medium to high batch machining cell
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
Expertly program, setup, and operate CNC machines using one or more of the specified control systems.
Choose and prepare the right tools and materials for each machining job.
Vigilantly monitor the CNC machines to guarantee consistent quality in production runs.
Conduct regular maintenance routines on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams, aiming for continuous process improvement.
Adhere to the highest safety standards and protocols.
Diagnose and resolve any challenges encountered during the production process.
Stay updated on advancements in machining techniques and control systems to uphold our industryleading standards.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

Ability to program one of the following
Haas, Heidnehain, Mazak, Fanuc or Siemens
5+ Years experience working within CNC Programming
Highest standards of H&S and Quality is essential
Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts
Working with various materials including exotic grade alloys
A detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding & cutting strategy is essential
A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team

Working Location/Environment
Blackburn, Lancs - BB1 2JU

Shifts + Pay Rates
Day Shift - Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm & Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm - Rates up to £16 p/h

Night Shift - Monday to Thursday 20:45pm - 6:00am - Rates up to £22.50 p/h
