QA Lead

Brighton, East Sussex (
Mostly Remote Hybrid - ideally 1 day a week in the office Tuesday or Wednesday preferred)

Salary:
Up to £45,000 per annum, based on experience

About you:
This QA Lead position is suitable for a QA/Test Engineer with some years' experience within QA and automated testing.
You will ensure that we produce only the best, high-quality software products.
Through your knowledge of both automation and manual testing you create comprehensive test plans and champion the use of effective tools.
You will seek opportunities to improve on processes and drive QA best practice within our Software Team.Key elements of experience include:
- Previous, demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining automated tests
- Practical experience of defining test cases at all levels
- Experience as a Senior/Lead QA
- Strong knowledge of different software QA methodologies, tools, automation, and processes
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment coordinating Project and Business as Usual updates/changes
- Experience of coaching/mentoring other QA Analysts is desirable
- A familiarity with cloud computing (Azure) would be an advantage
- Any experience gained of testing within a regulated environment could prove useful
Role requirements

Estimate, plan, and
coordinate software testing & releasing activities to meet the needs of the business
- Identify and document, track and
resolve all quality issues/defects
Create and
execute test plans for development and
regression phases:
Analyse test activities and provide more efficient features/processes
Line manages and coach/mentor team of 2 QAs

Collaborate across the Software Development/IT teams to identify and resolve issues
- Strong
experience writing clear and concise
test plans and cases - Advanced skills in building
automated regression testing: - A passion and enthusiasm for
process automation and software quality: - A dynamic and creative attitude to work, able to work cross functionally within business
