Location:
Newton Abbot (with possible travel within Devon)

Hours: 8 per day for 5 days per week


Full/Part Time:
Full-time


Salary:
Up to £71,000 gross per annum


ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our Client is recruiting for an experienced self-employed Optometrist to join their Newton Abbot branch.


You do not need previous experience in the field of refractive eye surgery as we will provide all necessary training with our experienced team of specialised Optometrists.

Previous experience in an NHS setting will be advantageous but not essential.


THE ROLE/ DUTIES:

As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conduct pre-treatment consultation & post-treatment aftercare appointments
  • Provide treatment recommendations based on your clinical findings during consultation
  • Communicate regularly with staff regarding the treatment recommendation and/or postoperative care of patients

The Company offers the following treatment ranges:

  • LASIK Intralase Wavefront
  • LASEK Wavefront
  • Cataracts/Refractive Lens Exchange
  • Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL)
  • Corneal Collagen Cross Linking

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 2 years postregistration clinical experience
  • Previous experience in the field of refractive surgery
  • Previous experience in an NHS setting
  • Flexibility with working hours and working days
