CATERING MANAGER
We are a catering events business that incorporates several different brands
within it. The Fendale Group comprises of Caiger & Co, Spoilt for Choice, The
Pie Man, Sophie Wright Catering and Archies. We deliver a diverse range of
events, from private weddings, bespoke dinner parties for high end corporate
clients to workplace catering and more cost-conscious options. Our Chelsea
shop has served the community for over 40 years, offering a unique
perspective on all aspects of the catering industry.
We are seeking a Catering Manager to join our Spoilt for Choice desk. Spoilt for
Choice specialises in delivering healthy, fresh, and delicious catering to
workplaces across London. This is a full-time role based at our Battersea office,
where you will join a dynamic team of chefs and event planners. As Workplace
Catering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our
catering operations, ensuring exceptional service for clients throughout
London.

You are an energetic and organised professional with a passion for delivering
exceptional catering experiences. Your background includes hands-on experience
with catering systems such as SLERP, and you are confident managing online orders
and event logistics. You thrive in fast-paced environments, demonstrating strong
administrative abilities and meticulous attention to detail when handling inboxes,
processing orders, and maintaining accurate records.
Adaptable and resourceful, you are comfortable working both independently and as
part of a dynamic team of chefs and event planners. Your excellent communication
skills enable you to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues, ensuring
tailored solutions and outstanding service. Technologically savvy, you are proficient in
website management and CRM systems, and you embrace new challenges, whether
assisting with warehouse tasks or supporting major events on-site.

Key Skills Required
- Experience with Catering Systems: Proficiency with platforms such as
SLERP for managing online orders and event logistics.
- Strong Administrative Abilities: Diligence in handling administrative tasks,
including managing inboxes, processing orders, and maintaining
accurate records.
- Ability to Work Under Pressure: Capable of meeting deadlines and
thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork and Independence: Comfortable working both independently
and collaboratively within a team of chefs and event planners.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Able to communicate clearly with clients
and colleagues, delivering tailored solutions and exceptional service.
- Technical Proficiency: Confident using technology for online orders,
website management, and CRM systems.
- Adaptability: Willingness to assist with various tasks, including warehouse
and packing jobs, as required.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, based at our Battersea office (one day from
home after passing probation)

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of existing clients,
while proactively seeking new opportunities.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Quote, plan, and manage catering events, ensuring all logistics align
seamlessly with client expectations and team capabilities.
Administrative Management
- Manage the admin inbox, respond promptly to inquiries, and process
orders via email, telephone, and the website.
- Log inquiries accurately in the CRM system and prepare corresponding
job sheets.
Collaboration with Team
- Work closely with the culinary team to ensure both standard and bespoke
menus meet clients' needs.
- Brief the kitchen on special requests, allergens, and deadlines during
weekly team meetings.
- Support the facilities and warehouse manager to pack and deliver orders
correctly.
Website & Menu Management
- Oversee website backend management, ensuring allergen information
and menu choices are accurate and up-to-date.
- Manage dish availability and ensure the online experience meets
customer expectations.
Event Logistics & Operations
- Ensure smooth handovers to the event operations team, guaranteeing all
staff and logistical requirements are in place for each event.
- Monitor the correct handling of allergen information for each order and
event.
• Support Warehouse Managers in the packing and loading of orders
Tender & Proposal Management
- Contribute to the creation of new tender documents and Service Level
Agreements (SLAs) for corporate clients and office spaces.
- Assist with the tender process, ensuring alignment with client needs and
company capabilities.
Supplier Liaison
- Recommend and liaise with approved suppliers, ensuring their products
and services meet client expectations.
- Help define clients' catering requirements and manage supplier
relationships to ensure quality service delivery.
