Do you share our determination to give the most vulnerable children and young people the best chances to succeed and thrive in their adult lives?

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and dedicated Instructor to work collaboratively with the Assistant Headteacher (Curriculum and Learning) to deliver and plan a broad and balanced curriculum to meet the needs of our pupils closely supported by the teaching team and senior leaders.

This could include mathematics, PSHE, PE and/or science.

Our academy specialises in alternative provision and special educational needs, supporting up to 54 pupils for whom traditional teaching methods have not worked as well as currently developing an outreach offer.

Pupils, ranging in age from seven to 16, join us following permanent exclusion, or are at risk of permanent exclusion, from a mainstream school or because they have complex or medical needs that prevent them from attending a mainstream school.

We are a nurturing, inclusive community that combines creative and engaging learning opportunities with a culture of respect.

Our approach is one of great care and high expectation for, and of, every pupil regardless of their prior experiences and challenges.

Every one of our pupils is unique.

We want to celebrate and support their individual abilities to give them the very best education possible so that they can gain the skills, qualifications and independence to reach their full potential in education and beyond.
