Then step into this exciting role as a Strategy and Planning Officer at the University of Sheffield


We are looking for a new member of the team to play a key role in helping the University to realise its vision to deliver life-enhancing research, innovation, and education.

In this varied role, that is at the heart of institutional planning and decision making, you will be part of the Planning & Performance team within the Department of Strategic Planning & Change (SPC) contributing to institution-wide scenario planning and business partnering for departments and faculties.


As a team we:


  • Work closely with senior leaders, becoming their trusted partner in crafting midterm strategies, identifying key opportunities and risks, and measuring progress against ambitious goals.
  • Develop deep relationships with colleagues, understanding their challenges, priorities, and aspirations.
  • Transform complex information into clear, actionable insights that inform crucial business decisions.
  • Think hard about our context and what might happen in the future in order to help university leaders navigate emerging opportunities and overcome obstacles.
