Treasurer @ Cancer Support Charity - London, United Kingdom - Accounting for International Development
Description
Our partner provides support to anyone whose life has been affected by cancer, including families and carers, whether it's coping with a new diagnosis or undergoing treatment, rebuilding a life after cancer, or approaching the end of life.
They have benefited from having a qualified accountant on their Board of Trustees for the last several years, but this person is stepping down at the end of their term, so they are seeking a replacement to join the other 5 board members.
Along with your fellow Trustees, you will be responsible for approving the annual business plan and strategy, approving the budget, monitoring financial performance and agreeing the fundraising strategy.
The role is ideal for an individual who wishes to give back to the community and who has an interest in providing and developing cancer care in the community.
The Board meets quarterly at their London office (some remote attendance possible) and the post holder will be expected to make themselves available to offer advice and guidance to the Finance Manager, Chief Executive and Chair as required.
Please note that this is a volunteer role and there is therefore no remuneration.
