An opportunity has arisen for a Handyman / handywoman of an exciting venue - a trailblazing concept that marries deep immersive experiences with the education of a museum, incorporating elements of the most successful visitor attractions.

How do illusions work? When all your senses are deceived, what happens to the brain? And how do these stimuli shape your sense of reality? Twist was founded to examine the science behind such questions through fun, interactive exhibits for all the family.


About the Role


We are looking for a reliable person who will be responsible for undertaking the general upkeep and repair tasks to the interior of the museum, including maintenance of exhibits.

The person in will role will need to ensure that the general look and feel of the museum is kept is excellent condition by doing various odd jobs.

This is a role which will require steady hands and good general knowledge. Although, a more technical level of knowledge would be preferred. You must be well organised and proactive in your approach with a strong eye for detail. Strong general repair skills are an absolute must have.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform general maintenance and repairs across the interior of the museum (to also include exhibits where necessary)
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Install and repair fixtures, and equipment as required
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to an excellent standard
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities

Experience:


  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with plumbing and electrics will be a bonus
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Supervisory or leadership experience is preferred

Note:

  • This is a role which will need to be done around museum opening hours, and so will either be quite early in the morning or in the evening after the museum is closed
