We are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer and Deputy Clerk to join Norwich University of the Arts at an exciting time in our history.

We are one year into our new Strategy and are making progress in a number of new areas as we work towards our strategic aspirations.

The postholder will join our professional services team supporting the University's Senior Management Team and will have the opportunity to work at the heart of our vibrant creative community.


The role can be offered as a full-time role, or as two separate part-time roles split between the Senior Project Officer and Deputy Clerk, each on a 0.5 FTE basis.


As a Senior Project Officer you will be involved in the delivery of projects that will support our Strategy and Operational Plan objectives, as well as projects that are required to support other regulatory requirements, for example our Access and Participation Plan interventions or new procedures to meet our Freedom of Speech obligations.

You will be involved in project initiation and design, undertaking supporting research, coordinating delivery, and undertaking evaluation.


As Deputy Clerk you will be working directly with the Clerk to the Board of Governors to support the work of the University Council (its governing body).

You will be providing a comprehensive administrative service including secretarial support for the Council and its sub-committees.

You will be expected to undertake relevant training to develop a good working knowledge of higher education governance and the role of the Clerk.


You will be an ambitious individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a highly organised administrator able to work to multiple deadlines and be willing to develop your knowledge to keep pace with a fast moving and changing higher education sector.

Salary:
£30,619 to £35,308 per annum increasing to £31,396 to £36,024 per annum from August 2023
