Kenny Recruit are actively recruiting an Investment Associate for a luxury accommodation and property portfolio, with two new sites planned on being opened later this year.

Working alongside the Investment Director, this role will be integral for the next phase of growth.

You will work with the CEO, Asset Management team and the Leading Global Private Equity funders on the strategic business plan requirements for future expansion.

They are a business who were recently acquired by a large private equity firm, who intend to build a world leading industry platform.

They are on a significant growth trajectory and intend to acquire and underwrite a number of sites over the next two years.

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to grow with the business and support with its funding requirements through both development and investment phases.


This individual will be expected to pro-actively demonstrate intellectual curiosity, advanced analytic skills and creative problem-solving skills which can result in actionable recommendations.

They will be highly commercial, with strong attention to detailand strong financial modelling skills.


Pay:
£50,000 - £75,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits + bonus


Location:
London (4/5 days per week in the office)


Working hours:9.00am - 5.30pm

KEY DUTIES - GENERAL

  • Oversight of the company's financing strategy across existing and new projects appropriate to the current and future needs of the Group
  • Assisting with financial underwriting relating to new site acquisitions and development projects
  • Point of contact for company's debt and equity partners
  • Assisting with operational financial analysis and longterm business forecasting for both new and existing assets
  • Assisting Investment Director with the preparation of board memos, information memorandums, market studies, and other various internal and external reports, presentations and materials, as required
KEY DUTIES - INVESTMENT / DEVELOPMENT

  • Ability to build financial models from scratch (investment and development), responsible for providing key oversight and review of the financial model
  • Ability to build relationships with funders, from a commercial aspect both with equity partners and debt partners / advisors
  • Assist with coordination of detailed multidisciplinary review of new sites and screen them for potential fit from a development and operational standpoint
  • Compile internal and external market data supporting investment strategies
  • Along with the Investment Director to collaborate with our advisers to deliver insightful market and site intelligence, including market feasibilities studies, demographic, and other relevant analyses
  • Organise and manage due diligence activities; establishing and maintaining due diligence checklists and completion schedules, ensuring internal and external deliverable timelines are met
  • Collaborate on the preparation of preliminary financial analysis, independently and together with other members of the team to determine the merit of pursuing a transaction / key business decision; ensuring appropriate modelling inputs are selected, includingphysical design, timing, cost, revenue, valuation parameters, etc. through detailed internal and external benchmarking
  • Understand and clearly communicate areas of risk and opportunity for each potential project

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of three years' progressive experience in a real estate investments role or equivalent (banking, debt finance, etc)
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business or other related discipline (Finance, Maths, Economics, Real Estate or equivalent). Valuable qualifications include CFA and MBA
  • Assist with the preparation of pitch decks, market studies, and other various internal and external reports, presentations, and materials, as required
  • Advanced PowerPoint expertise to prepare compelling and professional presentations.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Desire and ability to contribute as a key member of a highly motivated and successful development organisation, along with a degree of humility
