As Electrical Design Engineer you will be engineering design team in delivering commercially and technically accurate designs in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities as an Electrical Design Engineer:
- In charge for the production of the design associated with a specific project
- Delivering a statement of quantities of equipment in line with significant IEC, DNO, IDNO and client specifications
- Plan and issue designs for approval
- Communicate with internal and external design teams and consultancies to generate precise designs within schedules shown
- Analysis equipment manufacturers' requests and communicate with equipment manufacturers to guarantee equipment suitability in line with the proposed design
- Approve and issue approved designs
- Ensure that the law/ regulations are complied with at all times
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops
Key Requirements:
- Must be proficient in A
- Primary / Layout Design
- Must be proficient in Design of HV substation layouts and elevations
- Must be proficient in Design of detailed earthing layouts and connections
- Must be proficient in Manage the detailed design of HV and LV power cable routes and systems
- Must be proficient in B
- Secondary / Protection and Control Design
- Can progress and review of single line diagrams
- Produce high level specifications for control, protection and SCADA systems
- Design of HV protection and control systems
- Production of AC and DC schematic drawings, cable block diagrams, cable and termination schedules
- Must have a Degree in Electrical, Energy or Electronic Engineering
- Must have a working knowledge of MS Office
- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCad, MS Project
- Advantageous: working knowledge of design software: Revit, CDEGS etc. and SharePoint familiarity
