Our client, a leading live music booking agency, is seeking an
Assistant to Music Agent who possesses acumen within talent agencies and the music industry.


Key responsibilities will include:


  • Supporting a Music Agent with key business administration and meeting scheduling.
  • Liaising with business affairs accounting, and internal departments.
  • Maintaining an up to date booking system.
  • Resolving and/or escalating enquiries.
  • Taking responsibility for accurate and efficient show contracting.
  • Checking and comparing costings and collating for management review.
  • Helping client management to understand gross walk out on a tour/taxes/other deductions.
  • Working in support of the marketing function, to include handling artwork, collating marketing plans, and managing assets and PR.
  • Collating announcement schedules.
  • Checking ticket figures and sending for management review.
  • Maintaining promoter and business contact details.
  • Issuing terms of business to new promoters and clients.
  • Maintaining up to date information on release dates, label, management, and account information.
  • Working across festival guest lists.
  • Collecting support suggestions from agents and presenting to management.
  • Ensuring artists are taxed appropriately with accounting teams.
  • Requesting and managing invoices from management and the accounts team.
  • Chasing and checking settlements and payments.
  • Approving statement for final settlement with the artist.
  • Handling administration around immigration requirements.
  • Keeping riders and touring information up to date, in collaboration with Tour Managers.
  • Attending shows as required and fostering business relationships.

Requirements:


  • Previous experience assisting a Senior Agent within the music department of a talent agency.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the music industry and talent agencies Experience working in a related field is desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to handle client matters with discretion and sensitivity.
  • Adept at prioritising high volumes of work.
  • Ability to develop business relationships.
