Description
We're looking for Highways Maintenance Operatives (HMO) to join our Transportation team based in Garstang depot to carry out a variety of highway maintenance duties as instructed on a day-to-day basis to ensure the efficient running of the Area 13 network.

Location:
Garstang Depot, Preston
Contract:
Permanent - 4 on, 4 off days & nights shift pattern, 12 hrs per day
Salary:
£ £15.00 per hour (depending on qualifications) plus shift allowances & benefits
Responsibilities
As HMO, you'll deliver routine and cyclic maintenance, winter service,
emergency response and reactive repair works across the Area 13 network.
Your day to day will include:
- Install, maintain, remove temporary traffic management where required
- Undertake severe weather duties eg gritting, flood clearance etc as required
- Reactive repairs to damaged / defective assets
- Liaise with National Highways at the scene of road traffic incidents and to work with them to clear

This role of Highways Maintenance Operative is great if you have:
- Full driving licence
- Capable of working under pressure within a safety critical role
- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a team
