Job Summary:
The role of Yard Operative is primarily the unloading and loading of materials and equipment.

The Yard Operative will be trained to, and is responsible for, stock storage and preservation to the standards prescribed by the business.

The role reports directly to Operations Manager and will require the Yard Operative to be flexible and move between areas of the Yard as requested.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Yard Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation and use of the vehicles, Materials and Equipment.
Quarantine areas in conjunction with inspection.
Unload and store all materials and equipment safely to correct locations.
Report Stock Discrepancies.
Complete other reasonable duties as requested by Management.
Operation of a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count parts.
Load and Unload outbound and Inbound trailers etc.
Keep the yard tidy etc.
Ensure all work is conducted in line with the companies Health and Safety requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

FLT Operator
Counter Balance (Training may be provided)
The ability to read and understand written and pictorial instructions.
Experience of working in a Warehousing /Yard /in and outdoor environment. Flexible, fast learner.
Team Player

Salary:
Up to £28,000.00 per year
