Our client is a prominent accountants, tax and business advisors, based across Scotland. Due to continued growth in their Accounting & Business Solutions team, they are now looking for a full-time Senior Bookkeeper to provide a range of bookkeeping,VAT and accounts services to clients.

About the role
This role would suit a diligent and ambitious professional, looking to take the next step in their career.
Reporting to the senior team, the Senior Bookkeeperwill provide valuable support withVAT returns, bookkeeping tasks and cloud system use.

Key aspects of the role include:

Being responsible for a portfolio of VAT and management accounts clients, across a variety of sectors;
Processing bookkeeping entries on client systems, reconciling control accounts, processing monthend accounting adjustments and completing client VAT returns;
Reviewing the work of junior members of the bookkeeping team;
Advising clients on accounting system selection (including Apps), implementation, and training;
Establishing a professional and confident working relationship with clients, dealing with their queries, escalating these as appropriate, in order to enhance the Firm's reputation and business opportunities.

The ideal person

The person will be organised, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deadlines at once. They will be experienced at all parts of coaching and mentoring junior staff, including delegating and motivating where needed.
