Description

Our client is looking for a Logistics Coordinator will join a dynamic and fast-paced Logistics and Customer Service Team of 20 people.

This Team is responsible for managing the business operation ranging from Imports, Warehouses, Deliveries to Customers, Exports outside Europe and Demand Planning.

You will be dealing with Shipping Lines and Forwarding Agents across Road, Sea and Air modes and possess a knowledge of Customs Clearance Procedures.

Some key points of your role within Imports, Exports and Compliance are listed below;

Imports
Arranging Sea, Air and Road shipments from Suppliers to required destinations
- worldwide;
Prepare and checking Shipping instructions, tracking of shipments;
Input of appropriate purchase information onto our in house database.
Checking and distribution of original shipping documents, pass supplier invoice to account for payment, and instruction warehouse and clearance agent for the import process;
Instruct and liaise with clearance agent and warehouse contact for import process
Input of appropriate purchase information onto Citrix; maintenance of inventory etc.

Exports/Cross-Trades
Arranging shipment to customers from our warehouse, or from supplier directly to customers by Sea or Air or Road to include:
Prepare shipping instructions
Tracking of shipments, update shipment details,
Checking and distribution of original shipping documents
Prepare documents for customers, including invoice, packing list
Liaison with supplier, warehouse and customers

Compliance and Other
Support classification enquiries from commercial organization
Classification and commodity code check
Update FBSS ERP with codes and duty rates for EU & UK
Communicating Customs classifications enquiries for non-binding tariff information
Monthly stock reconciliations and handling follow-on enquiries from the Finance department
Occasional on-site inspection of warehouses;
Processing charges invoices from warehouses, forwarders and other suppliers
