Great opportunity to work for a leading British manufacturer based in Mildenhall.

To operate CNC lathes and associated machinery and maintain production processes to ensure best possible productivity and quality.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Prepare and operate CNC machines and machine components according to instruction and production requirements.
Read and understand part drawings/bar code labels.
Responsible for making adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut.
Able to diagnose and correct program problems and refer as necessary to an appropriate individual.
Complete all paper/computerbased reporting on jobs or parts as required in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist and train new operators.
Keep machines in optimum functional condition by ensuring maintenance and periodic checks are undertaken.
Responsible for quality checking finished products to ensure they are to the highest specification.
Ensure working area and plant is maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
Identify areas for possible improvements or change.
Demonstrate a commitment to Health and Safety in the workplace.

Qualifications & Skills Requirement

A minimum of 2 years of manual machining experience and CNC knowledge
Knowledge of equipment operation techniques speeds, feeds and tooling.
Knowledge of safety policies, procedures and safe working practices.
Ability to use measuring devices such as calliper, tape measure or height gauge.
Must have the ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers in English.
Accept share of workload and willingly help others when required
Enthusiastic and diligent attitude to work

Working Conditions

Working in a highly commercial environment
Shift Work hours per week 5am

pm - Monday to Friday
