- £ £180000 per annum
- City of London, London
- Permanent
We're looking for a CEO who can act as spokesperson - engage and influence, implement change, help develop and deliver growth whilst ensuring the organisation's focus remains on its member value.
This is a hybrid role - 1 day in London office 4 days from home with occasional international travel and evening events to attend.
It supports its members through member-led special interest groups, professional development courses, schemes to get diverse and young people into the industry, lobby for change and manages a series of UK and international award schemes.
This is exiting time to join; the association has been through a recent review to modernise with the full backing of their Board and General Council and the new CEO will be integral to driving through this transformation.
One of your first responsibilities will be to conduct a full organisation review and agree with the management board the right capabilities to implement the successful transformation.
About the role:
- Own the development and delivery of the strategic growth plan through membership and associated incomes, ensure effective governance, management and ensure robust financial control and reporting.
- Act as spokesperson for the membership and industry.
- Lead engagement with government, political and social institutions both in the UK and internationally to build the 'standing' of the industry.
- Build and sustain a creative, innovative, collaborative, and transparent organisational culture, where everyone can flourish.
- Ensure the organisational policies and procedures allow a focus on providing value to members.
About you:
We're looking for a CEO who's been a senior leader in the communications industry or who has led a membership organisation or who has held a leadership role in the public eye.
You will need to recognise that this is a member-led organisation which has important regulatory responsibilities so high standards of behaviour and ethics are important to you.
You will be a strategic thinker, horizon scanner and politically astute. Be highly skilled at stakeholder management, a confident and effective spokesperson. You will be able to influence, motivate but also be a diplomatic problem solver.Deadline 31st August
