Shorterm Group are actively assisting one of our Precision Engineering clients based in Bristol with a vacancy for a Production Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Collaboration with senior management in the development of long term strategic goals, operational plans and performance
Continuous improvement of customer quality and delivery performance measured by OTIF and customer score cards.
Financial performance and improvement actions to achieve business and departmental budgets
Delivering improvement to Business 'Financial & Operational KPI's'.
Effective communication processes, to ensure 'SMART' information is available at point of use in a timely manner i.e. Production meetings, team meetings, production plans / Schedules, team boards etc.
Coordination of supporting departments i.e. Purchasing, Engineering, NPI, Business development, Finance etc. to achieve departmental, business and customer expectations.
Develop department and team skills in line with business requirements through the management of Skills Matrices, effective Personal Development Review (PDR) deployment and succession planning.
Management of Team Leaders, assisting them in manufacturing performance, booking / clocking adherence, KPI's and objective performance, RFT, scrap levels reductions, training needs and process improvements.

Background Required:

Strong organisational skills
Good knowledge of Production/manufacturing machinery and technologies
Good knowledge of Production/manufacturing processes
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Ability to solve complex manufacturing problems
Excellent IT skills
Previous operational management experience
Excellent communication skills
Commercially astute, supporting the business in the achievement of its growth and financial targets
Previous manufacturing production experience
